"Four years ago, we did endorsements in school board races for the first time after seeing candidates across the state whose priorities were out of step with the needs of our public schools and the children they serve. We support candidates who:
-Believe strong public schools make strong communities
-Want all children to feel welcome and empowered at school
-Will work productively with district staff to support our students.
We oppose candidates who:
-Support vouchers
-Promote book bans and censorship
-Undermine trust in professional educators
While we are seeing fewer of these candidates this year, we are providing endorsements in races where candidates with more extreme views are running against more traditional school board candidates.
School board elections are important! Please be an informed voter and make sure your family, friends and neighbors are, too!

These are the candidates we think will best serve their community schools and their students and staff."
