As this year’s seniors become alumni, it seems like a good time to talk about what our graduates do as they leave Lansing. Career & College Readiness is the goal of our school system. There are outsiders who try to convince us that our students are failing, but the data doesn’t support that. The high school guidance department creates a document detailing the number of seniors, how many AP & Honors courses are offered, average ACT scores, and post-graduation plans for each graduating class. The district can’t track graduates once they leave with any consistency, but we have their plans post-graduation. We appreciate the guidance office sharing this information when we requested it.
We are proud of our graduates & proud of our educators who strive to provide opportunities for academic excellence to our students.
